Suicide PREVENTION:

Suicide claims thousands of lives every year and affects all ages, genders, and ethnicities. The rate for Military and Veteran Suicide is double that of the civilian sector. Risk factors such as PTSD, MST, TBI, depression, chronic pain, as well as family history often lead to these many deaths.

Family and friends are often the first to recognize that a loved one may be contemplating, considering, or even planning suicide, and are in a good position to ask their loved one if they are thinking of taking their own life. Though asking may be difficult, studies show it can, and does, often contribute to fewer suicide attempts. There are many signs of suicide, such as: talking about wanting to die, feelings of hopelessness, or sudden changes in behavior, like taking unexplained risks or giving away prized possessions. Assist and encourage your loved one to get the help they need.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If you are considering harming yourself or someone else, this is considered an emergency and you should contact 911 or call 1- 800-273-8255 and dial “1” for veterans.

Leaving the Sideline mission statement:  One Suicide is one too many. We help impact one person at a time by Leaving The Sideline and connecting a person in distress with resources that help cope with mental health.

Leaving the Sidelines is a non profit organization that will provide resources to Active Service Members, Veterans, and First Responders to increase suicide awareness and reduce the suicide rate throughout the state of Washington.

Mission 22 is a non-profit that combats the ever-rising veteran suicide rate. Every day, more than twenty veterans are lost to suicide. Mission 22 wants to bring that number to zero. It does this with three main programs; veteran treatment programs, memorials, and national awareness. Mission 22 provides free treatment programs to veterans for Post-Traumatic Stress and other issues they might be facing. It organizes events and builds memorials to create social impact and awareness for these issues. Mission 22 also has an Ambassador volunteer program for people to get involved as well. Ambassadors educate the public on veteran issues; help get veterans into Mission 22 treatment programs and create resources in their communities. Through these three programs, it enables a push for the betterment of our nation's heroes and stands united in the war against veteran suicide.

The mission of Fight the War Within, is to help those fighting internal wars by connecting them, their families, and their friends, to resources and by providing emergency grants when possible. They will accomplish this through strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, soliciting donations, and organizing volunteers who are driven to make a difference. It is their vision to inspire and instill a renewed sense of hope and purpose within the hearts and minds of people suffering from chronic and acute mental health issues and supporting their families and friends through those pivotal times.

We seek to serve as a living Memorial to our Fallen, increase public knowledge, and raise Awareness of PTS.

At Camp Brown Bear. We know that Veterans and First Responders suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury and Military Sexual Trauma have high levels of anxiety, depression and psycho-social problems.

We would like to be part of the solution, in part, by immersing Veterans and First Responders into the wilderness, giving sense of purpose while participating in projects, building camaraderie, introducing the participants to holistic modalities (i.e. Equine Therapy, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Acupuncture, Tai Chi, Music Therapy, Art Therapy and Guided Journaling).....

Mission:  Give an Hour improves mental health and emotional wellness by providing barrier free mental health support and care to military, veterans and loved ones.

Walk for Vets was founded from Buddy Watch Walk in 2019 and is an established entity in Texas. After walking 3,106 miles across the U.S., our mission continues by supporting other Veterans and Advocates as they walk to raise awareness of the issues plaguing veterans and service members. We also organize small walks in various locations throughout the year.

Walking and raising awareness to the plight of Veterans, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), addiction, homelessness, benefits and the epidemic of suicide among servicemembers and our veterans.....
